Connecting from Russia (unknown ssl or various other connection errors)

    Description: When logging in the connection fails in some way. Currently the known error codes are:
    • Error[400]: ServerUnavailable PlayFabError(ServiceUnavailable, Unknown SSL protocol error in connection to 9092.playfabapi.com:443, 400 BadRequest)
    • Connection to Login Server Timed out - please restart the client
    • error:140770FC SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:unknown protocol
    • Could not resolve host:9092.playfabapi.com
    Possible Solution 1:
    Follow those instructions to switch from your local DNS to either the public google or cloudflare DNS.

    You can choose whichever you prefer:
    After you followed the steps flush your DNS cache:
    1. Hit the windows and "R" key on your keyboard. This will open the run prompt
    2. Enter "cmd" and hit enter
    3. In the command prompt (black terminal window) type "ipconfig /flushdns" and press enter
    The result after flushing the dns should look like this:

    From now on you should be able to play Legiontd2 again without changing anything.

    Possible Solution 2:
    Use a VPN (various instructions can be found online)

    We're sorry this is happening. Unfortunately, this is the fault of the Russian government blocking Telegram in Russia, which resulted in millions of IPs addresses being blocked, including Amazon AWS. Our servers rely on Amazon AWS, so that means sometimes your internet service provider will block your connection to our server, which prevents you from playing. If other games work, it either means they don't use Amazon AWS or they just got lucky with not having their server IP addresses blocked.     We feel really bad about this because we love the Russian community. We're currently working on a server refactor, which we're hopeful will fix the issue for Russian players.

    Are you connecting from russia and did all the steps without skipping any?
    If you're not connecting from russia it might be a temporary issue

    VPN works, Google DNS doesn't.

    UPD: Game works without VPN now, must have been a temporary issue like the last one.

    15.08.2019 on MTC internet provider at South Russia appears same issue with infinite login to Login server at game start.
    DNS changes ddnt helps, so for unluckers who faced same thing there is only way to play the game - VPN servers.
    I think its result of our goverment's war vs Telegram

    latest update for me says it found a game...but it says that I failed to join match...10 times in a row now...waited 15minutes too.

    Sorry you're experiencing that. We are currently working on this bug. If you can provide your logs, it would be super helpful and takes less than 1 minute.
    1. Right click Legion TD 2 in Steam and select Properties
    2. Select Local Files then Browse Local Files
    3. Browse to Legion TD 2 > Dev > Logs > [date you experienced the issue] -> zip it and attach it here

    Can any Russian players update on whether they are able to play the game if they previously had issues? We've had a big surge in people from Russia getting the game and haven't heard any recent complaints. Hoping that means that issue is resolved!
