Grove Guide v 1.77 [Updated]

    True, but try to play with people who don't wanna save and just send forever, they will ruin it, that's what happened in that game, i was the only one saving, wich was a mistake i know, but it was a lost cause there anyways, and i was like F*ck it and atleast ruin 1 person's wave.

    since mercs are nerfed we can still do an antler start without being rekt w3/4

    I will update this guide next week.
    For now i Need to say that the antler start is viable, but the start with honeyflower is much better and doesn't slow down ur early workers that hard.

    When we played and you greeted me, I knew that I'd seen your name around... I didn't know you were the one that gave me a grove build. <3 <3 <3

    I've personally updated the build as the patches go on, and I'm curious why you're putting antler top left?

    hey mate, was nice to meet u ingame :)

    Tbh the positioning of the antler is a thing i am already thinking a lot about it and tried various possibilities.
    If u place him further below then the aura might catch more merc's but your upper canopie's get focussed instant.
    So where are u placing him? And what are ur changes for the guide ?
    I am always open to suggestions :)

    Since the latest patch buffed ranger and daphne, I've added a lot of them. The more I add, the better. I've only put one row here, because it's not every game that I have the gold to really spam them.

    Whitemane - I place him in the middle. On a perfect "turn", he lands just below the deathcap and charges into the meat of the wave. He is usually the first to die, but he holds long enough for consort and canopie to clear out the send. Usually, the last one standing is the deathcap.

    Banana Haven - I just don't like them. I would get rid of them completely, but they're good for blocking centaurs, so I reduced to one.

    Spells:

    If I get villian, it goes on the whitemane.
    If I get hero, it goes on the deathcap.
    If I get reroll, I look for magic damage. Fenix, hades, etc.

    Have you tried villain on Banana? Since it's auto-attacking up to three targets, it applies the debuff to up to three targets as well, which can be really nice. On a single target it's weaker, since it's ranged, though.

    I did try that, but... just never impressed with banana.

    If you put villain on a whitemane, he can nearly solo 11.

    Villain is really strong on both whitemane & bunk, but i prefer hero with grove anyway

    I dont like banana, for me it's just for taking aggro on big creep and to avoid withemane to be the first target.
    for me he need to take initial aggro because he deal damage back when hit, and if he dont he is usually the last one to die before ranger because of his range, his passive is useless when there is no one to kill creep
    was building 2 of them before the 18/19 switch, now only one.
    i put villain/hero on whitemane and i pray for a magic damage dealer each time with reroll, i dont like massing flower for 18, not enough burst.
    aps/mps is so fucking op too, place them right behind banana and everything is packed and buffed (not ranger daphne but who care, they are no there for the damage), if you're lucky you have butcher too, it's godmode xD

    if the enemies send on 11 or 12 you will need the banana no matter how much you like it

    tbh i don't play grove much atm, but i think even though grove was nerfed several times, the new sending meta is pretty good for grove..
    and bunk is in my opinion still the best t6 unit.

    v2.00 : Guide will need a change again. i will try to figure out the best build as fast as i can.
    But i guess it will take some time to adapt to the changes :D

    Overall you just cant use Whileshrooms/Canopies as early game tanks anymore and i dont really like the early antler so the goal is to build the bunk as fast as possible. trying to get it on 6-8 most of the time.
    Grove still weaker on 2v2 but this way you can keep up against mastermind
