[Legion] Volcano

    Hey guys,

    It has been a long time since I posted in design room, so I'm here to make things right :p
    As always, feel free to comment and post suggestions :D

    Volcano legion refers to the hostile environment surrounding a volcanic chain of moutains.
    Creatures living in such place developed an affinity with the ambiant magic, adapting to fire, and rocks.
    As time passed, highly evolved creature such as dragons came developed consciousness, spoken language and writing system.
    They now rule over the Volcano, leading others creatures to enlightment.

    The Volcano inhabitant use a runic system to stock magic and make ready-to-use spells.
    They covered the mountains of such Runes as a defense system against possible enemies.
    Glyph

    Rune morphism

    At night, Can choose to morph into a Fire Rune or Wind Rune.
    Fire Rune gets the ability Draconic Fire.
    Wind Rune gets the ability Draconic Blast.

    Draconic Fire

    When an enemy unit cross the Fire Rune's row, it activates itself, then explode 1 sec later,
    dealing 50 magic damage to all unit (ally or enemy) within 275 range.

    Draconic Blast

    When an enemy unit comes in 200 range of the Wind Rune, activates itself and release 1 sec later a blast of air,
    knocking back all unit (ally or enemy) within 300 range.
    Knock back distance depends on distance between the rune and the unit. The closest it is from the rune, the further it will be knocked back.
    Max: 200 unit - Min: 25

    Like the glorious dragons, Fire Lizards and Salamanders are capable of spitting fire, but to a smaller degree.
    Their true strength come from their high resistance of burst of magic energy, whch are quite common when living in a moutain full of Explosive runes and dangerous creatures.

    Wyvern are more vicious and primitive hunters than their distant cousin, the dragons.
    They prefer ambush to frontal fight, and prefer to weaken their enemies over time before giving the fatal blow.

    Blood Thirst

    Whenever this unit attack a unit with max bleeding wound effects, it gains +100% attack speed.

    The highly concentrated magic running through the Volcanos gave birth to monstres made of lava.
    Those creatures haven't developed any sense of moral and chase who ever steps in there territory.
    Their shell is composed of cooled down lava, and retains burning liquid running through their vein.
    Beware when fighting one of those, as their wounds tends to reinforce their strenght by diffusing heat and making their blow dangerously hot.

    Ifrit are amoungs the most evolved creatures in the Volcanos, equals in mind to the dragons.
    Their knowledge of the ambiant magic make them powerful fighter which will can adapt to their enemies.

    Growing Magic

    Ifrit can learn about Fire, Earth and Wind Magic. Each Magic has 4 level.
    During night, you can upgrade Ifrit knowledge for 50 Gold.
    Ifrit begins with Fire Magic level 1.


    Abilities
    Unleash Magic (7 Mana)

    Ifrit releases a huge wave of magic energy, dealing damage and applying effects up to 5 enemies (700 range).
    Damage done & effects:
    40 Magic + 10/sec for 4 secs per Fire Magic level
    40 Impact damage + 0.25 sec stun per Earth Magic level (Stun is converted to 15% movement slow on bosses).
    40 Pierce damage +2% damage amplification per Wind Magic level

    Dragons were the first to reach consciousness in the Volcanos.
    Their claws and tooth combined their highly resistant skin make them formidable fighters.
    But their most powerful capacity is their breath of fire. Elder dragons can breath fire so hot that it can melt rocks and steal.

    The line of fire does a circular movement, sweeping the area surrounding the target in a cone shape over 2 seconds.
    cone shape: 400 range, 45° angle

    Awesome ideas, as usual, Marchombre! I really like Lava Giant's ability design. Could definitely see that in the game on a future tank. Ifrit's Growing Magic and Unleash Magic are cool too.

    I would love to see one of my design ingame :D

    Ifrit would be harder to balance I guess, but I'm sure it would be interesting to play ;)

    How about the Glyph ? Do you plan to have something similar (any kind of suicidal unit/Land mine 2.0) ingame ?
