Rules Format This format is a temporary one. It could change a bit depending on how many teams participate to the tournament. Mastermind 2v2 Day 1: 2 Groups of 8 teams. Top 3 teams of each group advance to day 2. Ties broken by (1) wins vs. tied participants. If there are still ties, there will be tie breaker games. You play against all teams of your group except one (will be random). Day 2: Bo1 Double Elimination Seeds 1 and 2 will get byes in round 1 Seed 3 will select their opponent from seeds 5 and 6 Seed 4 will play the remaining opponent (seed 5 or 6) Seed 1 will select their side of the bracket (seed 3 side or seed 4 side) Seeding Teams will be seeded by their average peak rating in season 4. Peak ratings will be automatically calculated at the end of sign-up. You only need to sign up once. Teams are distributed by this process : First team in group A, second team in group B. Repeat this process until there are not more teams. If there is an odd number team, there will be one more team in group A. Ready Up Teams must announce in tournament_checkin that they are ready within 5 minutes of each game's official start time. Failure to do so will result in an automatic forfeit. The only exception is if their previous game is going long. If either player on your team fails to show for the game on time, this may result in a ban from participating in future tournaments. Lobby Creation, Side Selection, & Player Positions The top team (the team that is displayed on top in the Challonge bracket) creates the custom game lobby. This may differ from seed order. The top team selects its preferred side (west or east). The bottom team selects its preferred player positions The top team selects its preferred player positions Once both teams confirm they are ready, the game can be started Lobby Creation, Side Selection, & Player Positions The higher seeded (closer to 1) team will always get side selection (west or east) and player position priority. This may differ from what is displayed in the Challonge bracket. The only exception is Grandfinals game 2, in which the teams swap. Reporting Results The winning team must screenshot and report the game results to tournament_results Game-impacting Bugs, Disconnects, & Remakes In general, we will not be honoring remake requests. Legion TD 2 is an Early Access game, and there will inevitably be bugs. Remakes cause delays that compromise the entire tournament's schedule and also encourage players to cheat by disconnecting or reporting a bug if they are losing or have bad rolls. You should not request a remake, unless it's an obviously critical bug, such as being unable to deploy fighters. Pathing and targeting issues (especially mid and late game) generally will not be considered worthy of a remake. You cannot ask the opposing team for permission to remake. That decision is made by the staff, not the opposing team. To request a remake, you must: Record your games (here's a guide on how to do that). Notify the opposing team that you are requesting a remake immediately at the time of the game-impacting bug. Notify Seraphin in tournament_lobby that you are requesting a remake immediately at the time of the game-impacting bug. Share video footage of the game-impacting bug with staff. Staff will review the video and make a decision based on (1) the severity of the bug, (2) the state of the game, and (3) implications on the tournament's schedule. If it is determined that the bug critically impacted the team's ability to win by 40%+ (e.g. the team's chance of winning decreased from 60% -> 20%) and if remaking wouldn't disrupt the tournament's schedule, a remake may be granted.
