Mercenaries 3rd row

    Hey guys !

    So, many people said that a 3rd row of mercenaries would be nice. So I thought of some mercenaries which could be fun to have in game.
    Kraken got a rework too, so it still is the high cost mercenary.

    Ofc, those are ideas, and probably need some adjustments.

    Harpooner (Pierce - Nature)
    180 Mythium - 48 income

    Stats

    Health: 1850
    Damage: 130
    Att. Speed: 1.2 (=> 156 DPS)
    Range: 300
    Mana: 25

    Abilities
    :
    Harpoon (5 Mana - 500 range)
    Throws a harpoon to targeted enemy unit, dealing 100 pierce damage and pulling the target by 250 range.

    Protector(Impact - Fortified)
    180 Mythium - 48 income
    Stats
    Health: 2650
    Damage: 135
    Att. Speed: 0.75 (=> 101.25 DPS)
    Range: 100 (melee)

    Abilities
    :
    Defense mode
    When this unit take damage from ranged attack, it goes in defense mode, reducing its movement speed by 75% and damage taken by ranged attack by 50%.

    Thief (Pierce - Arcane)
    280 Mythium - 60 income

    Stats

    Health: 2300
    Damage: 35
    Att. Speed: 2 (=> 70 DPS)
    Range: 100 (melee)

    Abilities:
    Pillaging
    Gain 5 gold upon killing an enemy
    Pickpocket
    Gain 1 gold upon attacking the king

    Oliphant Rider (Impact - Fortified / Magic - Swift)
    400 Mythium - 100 income
    Stats
    Health: 3700 - 1100
    Damage: 120 - 60
    Att. Speed: 0.8 (=> 96 DPS) - 1.5 (=> 90 DPS)
    Range: 100 (melee) - 350

    Abilities
    :
    Dual Figthing
    Oliphant and Rider are two fighters. They have separated stats and can target different units.

    Oliphant rider stay at Rider's attack range, oliphant fighting only if melee are coming in range.
    Oliphant tank damage first, and rider can fight on its own after its death.

    King Slayer (Pierce - Swift)
    400 Mythium - 95 income
    Stats
    Health: 1100
    Damage: 80
    Att. Speed: 1 (=> 80 DPS)
    Range: 100 (melee)

    Abilities
    :
    Stealth
    This mercenary can't be seen, damaged, or targeted and can't attack while mythium gate is active.
    King Assassination
    First attack on the king deals 200 + 3% of king Max HP as bonus damage.

    Titan (Pure - Nature)
    500 Mythium - 120 income
    Stats
    Health: 4200
    Damage: 400
    Att. Speed: 0.75 (=> 300 DPS)
    Range: 100 (melee)
    Mana: 20

    Abilities
    :
    Spell resistance
    Reduce damage taken from spells by 50%
    Titatinc shock (10 Mana)
    Next attack deals 20% dmg in AOE (250 range) and knockbacks its target by 300.

    Kraken (Impact - Immaterial)
    600 Mythium - 140 income
    Stats
    Health: 9100
    Damage: 350
    Att. Speed: 0.7 (=> 245 DPS)
    Range: 100 (melee)

    Abilities
    :
    Spell resistance
    Reduce damage taken from spells by 50%
    Attack from the abyss
    3 secs after the wave start, Kraken spawns in the middle of lane, dealing 300 pure damage to all units in 350 range.

    So, what do you think ?

    I like the idea of the Thief but getting 5 gold / enemy killed for a 280 mythril feel a bit low ?

    Oliphant Rider "Oliphant rider stay at Rider's attack range, oliphant fighting only if melee are coming in range."
    When it's at Rider's attack range , do Oliphant and Rider attack (120 + 60 domage) or only the Rider (60 domage) since Oliphant dosn't have enought range ?

    For King slayer I love the idea but the problem is, even in late game a 400+ send is rly rare, so expexting someone to leak with a unit that cost 400 and don't attack won't work unless the enemy is already low value so you don't rly need this unit, feel like doing a real 400 send if far mutch worth, also the unit must sucide if the enemy don't leak right ? since gate won't open

    Love Titan, good counter against a fatalizer (20 for exemple), by pushing it back it would stop it's attack streak :D

    Kraken look worth his 600 mythril ^^

    Hey !
    Thx for your answer.

    So:
    Thief, like King slayer, is meant to be a unit strong on leaks.
    You get 2 gold per sec when it's hitting King.
    Plus, it's attack speed should help him getting last hit. It would be a really strong unit against mass Summon build or mass towers like daphne, I think.
    Maybe it should be a medium ranged unit to avoid it being focused ?


    For King slayer, it was quite hard to balance. I nerfed it so much that maybe it should cost less now, indeed :p
    And it won't suicide. Mythium gate would open when all holding units got tp. That way, if they hold with 1 pewee each, the King slayer will still make it to the King.
    But He's squishy enough to be destroyer by a non-luck hold.

    Concerning Oliphant rider, the Oliphant is attacking only when someone is at melee range. So if it stay at range and there isn't any melee unit, then, only rider attack.

    I love the idea of titan and harpooner which will push back tank and pull ranged units.
    It should make positionning even more important.

    And yeah, kraken is meant to be that one big scary 600 mythium thing :p


    I'll prob do some balancing later, mainly to king slayer. If you have something to add, feel free to do so ;)
