    v1.78a Patch Notes

    Deployed 2018.3.8.1803 (PST)

    Last patch before our big announcement next week. Friendly reminder that Season 1 will end on April 9, 2018. Details here.

    Client Updates

    Main Menu Improvements
    - New patch notes presentation

    New Patch Notes.png

    - Options and Store buttons replaced with button icons in the bottom left
    - Text size scales with resolution

    Post-game Stats
    - Now shows Legion Spell
    - MVP score now takes into account pressure applied to opponent via saves

    Game Updates

    Dynamic Recommended Value
    - Recommended Value now increases if your attacker is saving (it's a rough approximation because the calculation intentionally doesn't take into account how many workers your attacker has)

    Recommended Value is only meant to be a guideline. Hit F10 in-game to see recommended values and types.

    Undeploy Confirmation
    - If undeploying fighters with a total value greater than 100 (all selected units combined), a popup will ask for confirmation.
    - This does not apply for Recalling fighters (100% sell) or Downgrading fighters

    Wave Info (F10)
    - Now no longer shows previous 1-2 waves (it was confusing some people)

    Game Balance

    Leak Bounty
    - Now moderately more punishing to leak late game and slightly less punishing to leak very early game (more or less, unchanged waves 1-10)
    -- Bounty to leaker: 45% scaling to 0% on wave 16 -> 48% scaling to 0% on wave 14
    -- Bounty to opposing team: 50% scaling to 95% on wave 16, accelerating to 120% on wave 20 -> 47% scaling to to 95% on wave 14, accelerating to 140% on wave 20

    Making the opposing team leak most of wave X only to be 100-0’d on wave X+1 feels wrong, so we’re making that less likely to happen

    King green_arrow.png
    - Attack speed: 0.87 -> 0.89
    - Now smarter about targeting bosses

    Games are ending a bit too early on average, so we’re slightly buffing the king

    Ranger green_arrow.png red_arrow.png
    - Health: 430 -> 400
    - Damage: 29 -> 27
    - Mark Target: Damage amplification: 1 -> 2 (1 against bosses)

    Still strong against wave 10, but less of a hard counter, and now more viable on other waves

    - Health: 1250 -> 1200
    - Damage: 99 -> 98
    - Nature’s Touch: Damage reduction: 5 -> 10 (5 against bosses)
    - Nature’s Touch: Slow: 10% -> 20% (10% against bosses)

    Still strong against wave 10, but less of a hard counter, and now more viable on other waves

    Mercenaries

    Centaur green_arrow.png red_arrow.png
    - Health: 3370 -> 4000
    - Damage: 146 -> 115

    Too much of Centaur’s power depended on whether it was targeted at the beginning or end

    Waves

    (15) Quadrapuses green_arrow.png
    - Attack speed (attacks per seconds): 0.86 -> 0.87

    (16) Cardinals red_arrow.png
    - Attack speed (attacks per second): 1 -> 0.99

    Slight shift in power from 16 to 15

    Does this mean that forsaken can actually live past wave 13?

    Edit: I like the changes to the controls on the main screen. Moving the store and options to the lower left looks better.

    I suggest moving profile and leaderboards down there, and just have play normal, casual, or custom on the left.

    Please added Russian servers in the game. Very big lags, all time. Thank you.

    And this is patch, not have balance. Send two brutes In three wave and seven wave + pack leader = GG.

    You want an extra server for Russia?
    Have fun playing 1v1 against Diamondprox 24/7 then, lol.

    As for you second problem, try not pushing workers when the enemy didn't send any mercenaries your way, and instead invest heavily into towers. A 160 send on wave 7 may be pretty good, but it shouldn't end the game.

    Does this really make any difference? Having in mind the multiple(bigger) nerfs that you did in the same aspect on fire archer.

    We tend to be pretty conservative with balance tweaks because of how frequently we patch. We'd rather inch towards the goal than to wildly swing and miss, which leads to alternating between buffs and nerfs. You're right that sometimes, I can be overly conservative, so I'll keep that in mind for future changes.

    I agree that it is probably not enough. But this is better than nothing I guess ;)

    It feels very bad if you loose a game because of a missclick(for e.g. sell a pyro or bunk), so good job there :)

    It actually made a bit of a difference, i really expected nothing.
    But i think Shaman and wave 12 needs nerfing asap.

    Is there a way to turn off the dynamic recommended values? I can estimate how big a send is likely to be, and I like to be x overvalue due to it. I don't remember exact builds that clear each wave, but being x over value is generally how I know I'm safe. Can it at least be a toggle?

    Good work devs. Thanks for supporting the game I've loved for years. 4K support is appreciated - Now to make sure that the option for map-scale saves after the game closes

    Just got back into the game missing last 2 patches and my starting berserker mech build does not work at all. The unit just feels absolutely worthless unless it starts a fight focusing a big merc or boss

    Yo, i get that you got no love to fire archers jules, but given the many nerfs, at least we could fix the target swap after spell right?
    Right now it only happens if there are more then 2 units damaged, they keep swapping between the two of them.

    Cross appears to be back, groove + mech. They have Pyro + flower to early + mass waves, and rangers + berserker for small ones.

    IM OUT again. Playing against cross is complete ass, and every time they found an exploit makes me wanna fucking delete my 3 accounts.

    There is still some possibility to make cross leaking. If they go on Pyro + Flower, Dragon Turtle is still really strong wave 4. same for 6 and 7.
    Cross is still weak wave 8. Finally you have wave 11 and wave 14 where you can make them leak.

    However, I agree that is a bit boring to play with against cross if you're not.
